Oriola fastest in the morning
According to his official press release Pepe Oriola was fastest on the morning of today’s collective testing in Monza. A considerable number of teams were present on the venue of the first round of the 2013 World Touring Car Championship. The Honda factory team was testing with two of their latest cars, Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago Monteiro were the driving the Civics. BMW was represented by PB Racing (Stefano D’Aste), ROAL Motorsport (Tom Coronel and Darryl O’Young), Engstler Motorsport (Franz Engstler and Charles Ng), Proteam (Mehdi Bennani) and the brand new Anome Racing with Jean-Philippe Dayraut.
The factory Lada team was absent, and only one Chevrolet (Nika Racing) decided to go to Monza. As far as SEATs are concerned, Tuenti Racing arrived with at least one car for Pepe Oriola, while Campos Racing was also on track today.
“We are very pleased. We have made some modifications to the chassis and the car responds well. It’s important to have these feelings just 10 days before the start of the championship. I think we can get a good result in the first race” – said Oriola.
